Vankirk Home Upgrades' master carpentry offers specialization for any space, custom built-ins, finish trim and moldings, and upscale refinement. This elegant foyer with glamorous, patterned wallpaper showcases subtle metallic sheen, ornately crafted coffered ceiling detail, intricate crown moldings, finish trims, wainscoting/ judge's panel, marble tile flooring, semi-flush crystal chandelier, and soft inviting color scheme is reminiscent of French royalty, But all this opulence, glamor, and sparkle are complimented and balanced by the double doors made of rich, rustic, earthy solid mahogany custom crafted doors and the contrasting darkness of the sultry, yet glossy, traditional hunter green marble tile flooring to reflect the homeowner's uniquely royal style. What a beautiful, welcoming, first impression we had the pleasure of creating for this home!
We maximized a small space with this modern kitchen upgrade: custom new wood cabinetry in a soft white lacquer for longevity and style is complimented by a whimsical tile backsplash tile with subtle pop of soothing ocean blue color weaved in and providing a waterproof barrier for culinary experimentation. The beautiful new storm grey granite with classic marbling is illuminated by bright undercabinet lighting, further refined by the soft and glamorous statement made by polished gold cabinet hardware. This magnificent, practical, and inviting kitchen is finished off with new stainless steal appliances. Vankirk Home Upgrades specializes in maximizing small spaces by improving flow and layout, the addition of custom built-ins and specialized carpentry solutions, pantry additions, and customizations, unique organizers, and one-of-a kind cabinet layouts and interior features that are unmatched, and specifically tailored to your needs.
This phenomenal property was drab and unremarkable prior to the many renovations Vankirk Home Upgrades completed. Remodels were done in phases over time to facilitate the client's budget, and minimize disruption of family routines and living conditions. The end result was a complete remodel but the addition of an enormous back deck that fully embraced the previously un-usable steep area immediately behind the home, making the breathtaking, scenic pond and gold course views the rightful star of the home. The layout flaws, lack of rear windows, doors, or any outdoor area to enjoy the unique and coveted benefits this lot actually had to offer, were corrected, quickly making this once outdated and unwanted home, the gathering place for neighborhood and family cookouts, celebrations, and enjoyment. The added windows and glass doors allowed the sunlight to brighten the interior of the home as well, and the artistic colors of the horizon to grace the every room of this home each evening. This house was reborn into a home that facilitated family time that will be forever cherished, and memories of the previously walled off dark rooms are nearly forgotten by the overwhelming splendor of the beautiful pond waters and expansive far-reaching vistas of rolling golf course hills in Clayton, NC.
With luxurious floor-to-ceiling tilework, crown molding, huge / oversized two-person jetted soaking tub, large rain shower with glass enclosure, and private toilet area beyond the bath, this is one of Vankirk Home Upgrades' favorite primary bathrooms. It is a private and peaceful oasis, and represented a homeowners' long-awaited dream-come-true home spa sanctuary.
Vankirk Home Upgrades transformed what began as a dark, closed-off and severely dated gully kitchen, with an equally uninviting living area that was walled off on the other side, into a bright open concept kitchen that inspired loved ones to gather and entertaining of friends. We began by creating a peninsula through the wall to create an open concept and allow natural light to shine through these living spaces. Later upgrades included elegant and classic new white quartz countertops, which were extended in both directions to create breakfast bar seating for up to 7 people. A new deep single-basin sink large enough to fit every dish in the house was polished off with shiny pewter faucets, and stylish new cabinet hardware added a touch of elegance to the existing rich maple cabinetry. Bright updated pendant light fixtures made the previous hospital-style rectangular fluorescent light a faint unwelcomed memory. And a soft, neutral, but warm antique white paint made the entire space feel peaceful and elevated in comparison to the previously dated and stained condition of the walls. The final phase of this "complete home makeover" was to unify the previously segmented areas of this home with gorgeous solid wood tongue-and-groove hardwood flooring with a stunning neutral greige stain and piano-finish high-gloss coat that shimmered radiantly as it reflected new, stunning, glamorous crystal chandeliers in the living spaces. The many home upgrades we completed culminated in a feeling of bygone elegance and romance that this previously unremarkable house so desperately deserved. What a transformation we accomplished together over time and what fun it was to have the privilege to really bring this home to life!
